Major Steam Update 10-11

This is a message off the Steam Support page, and I thought I should post it so people were aware of it and don't freak out. LOL




Planned Downtime on Monday October 11th

Beginning at 4:00 am Pacific time Monday October 11th, we will be performing software maintenance on the Steam servers. We expect the resulting downtime to last four hours, putting the end of the window around 8:00 am Pacific time.

Some Steam services will be offline during this time. Affected services will include the Steam Community, in-game matchmaking or lobbies, downloading games from Steam content servers, and making purchases from the Steam store. Games that do not rely on Steam matchmaking services should remain playable.

We will work to make this downtime as short as possible. Thank you for your patience!

this downtime messed up my sync with my steam files i somehow knew something bad would happen

They are still updating the Steam server, so your files won't sync until it is back up. Not a big deal, it just means you can't earn achievements right now.

I hope it doesn't screw things up again.
