I think cs_xmas could work well if the spawns are flipped around, since CS maps are usually designed to give the T sides a stronghold.

I'll see if I can find some DE maps that would work. What are your thoughts on rats styled maps?

 i have crashed the server 5 times i do not want to push my luck with the players any more to day.

Well I'm still confused on why half the maps Local uploaded out of the ones I gave him aren't working. I loaded the maps and played them just fine before posting them, so I wonder if the upload I did was screwed up. It sucks because those are some very good maps, and would play well.  :( :(



I like all the map suggestions. I personally don't care how big they are as long as they are good maps. ZM maps will work better now since all props are removed from maps. I also have another one.  ;D ;D

As I was making map packs for all the servers I noticed that the new maps I gave him don't work when I download them from here, and try them.    http://www.notdelite.com/cstrike/maps/

If I load them from the originals I gave him they work fine, so that tells me they were corrupted when uploaded to the server somehow. I also noticed in the above link that some of the .bsp files, and .res files were missing from some maps on the servers. I'm adding all of these into the new server map packs too though. ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hopefully we can try uploading those maps that weren't working to the server one more time. LOL

Yeah, we've got zh_jam already on there in those list of maps unless that's an updated version of it which i didn't see any details on that aspect of it, as far as the others i haven't seen those on there before so.  :) nice listing   :)

Hostage rescue maps generally don't work well because we spawn on CT side, and the stronghold that would have been great for fending off zombies are all the way in the T side. That is, unless the admins config the server to automatically flip spawns when loading a hostage rescue map.

Alright guys, do me a favor. If the maps you want are not on the server at the moment, just make a map pack. Afterwards, tell me and I will add it to the server.

Ok, I loaded all of these maps, and played them. A couple didn't work very well with bot, but all the ones I put in the pack worked fine. I also included the couple for the first one you added, but didn't work for some reason, and I put them in green. Lets hope I didn't screw any up this time, haha. I would like to contest against including de_saw into the map cycle. While the atmosphere is very nice for this type of gameplay, the map filesize is 52MB. Considering the popularity of the server, imagine the bandwidth required to download the map to ~20 players at once. If someone could find, hack up a lighter filesize version of that map then it would be welcome. Anyways, here's the first pack of maps I would suggest to add to the map rotation. Here's what it includes and my blurb on them.

de_archive - It's an abandoned library with a pleasing sense of symmetry. There's plenty of locations to hold out in.
de_bluecorridor - This map is set in a japanese museum. It's a pretty big map, but has plenty of long corridors a has a very varied look to it.
de_cantina - It's a large mansion with wine cellars. Plenty of locations to hold up in.
de_churchtown - This is a really nice dust-like map with a good layout. Has a couple of nice spots to hold out in.
de_dust2_plx_v2 - This is self-explanatory, it's a reskinned version of dust2 that gives it an overgrown look. It looks really nice and would work well as a replacement for dust2.
de_electrical - Holy shit this map looks amazing. It's large and complex allowing for plenty of holding out spots.
de_gambaru - It's a japanese location with a very creepy atmosphere. It has a complex multi-level layout and has a lot of places to hold up in.
de_hulsa - This is a derelict slums map, and a pretty mixed bag. On one hand, while the narrow corridors and the junk strewn about gives a good way to escape the zombies and slow them down behind you, it can just as well be the player's death. i think we'll have to try it to know for sure.
de_keidas_fixed - This is a nice millitary desert town with a nice varied look and a fairly complex layout. Lots of places to hang out with, and it even has a bar to party in.

This map didn't make the cut:

de_derelict - For one, the layout and look doesn't make much sense. Secondly, there's way too many explosive barrels, and places to hide in where the zombies can't get you. The final deathblow to this map is that it LAAAAAAGS like a motherfucker. Avoid this map.

Edit : Actually, bluecorridor, upon further inspection, weighs in at about 54 MB unzipped. So do disregard that map if the large filesize is a problem. I heard that version 2 of that map is much lighter so I will look at it.

Believe me people will download any map to play ZH, so I don't really care about the file size. If people are that concerned with it they can download the maps packs that I made, I did make one for every server. I also think these are enough maps for now,  he hasn't even gotten the ones I zipped for you guys on the server yet, thank you for making suggestions though.  ;D


BTW the map pack you made above isn't done right. You need to make .nav files for the maps that need it, and none of them are unzipped and organized. Did you actually load, and test these maps with bots?? They need to be because the map may look good, and play well with humans, but it may not with bots. If you want I will redo that map pack for you when I get a chance, and tested them all.  :D

My friend had a suggestion of a custom made map where your on a football field one side with a fort the other tons of cover for zombies to make their way to you and you have to fight for your life inside the fort or outside whichever you go.  I don't have a name for it so you could name whatever you want.

not sure that would be a good idea, I've seen a map like that before that was being used for a zombie game of a similar nature, but it was too easy to exploit. it's not available anymore because it would always crash the game if it had more than 10 ACTUAL players, but it did a lousy job for a zombie game.

I have went through all the maps suggested by people on the forums. I tested them all, and the ones that worked, and played well with bots I added into this updated new maps pack. Please remember to actually play the maps you suggest, just because they look good doesn't mean they play good, especially with bots. I thank you all for the suggestions, and hopeful you will see them added to the server in the future, though there are no guarantees.   ;D ;D

These all work, and have .nav files made. I included the maplist inside too.  ;)
