ive been thinking about buying a utg gen 5 airsoft sniper and i wanted to mod the scope to make it night vision enabled but i need some help with this...

Best you can do is try to find a shooter's sight thats already set for nv and modify it for use with an airsoft gun. And cheaper nv isnt always the best way to go lol. Cheap tech always goes down fast.

pff, $5000 to $15,000 for good nightvision, then another fat chunk for a decent scope, and all this to have it installed on an airsoft gun.
its like buying a $2000 turbocharger and mounting it on a 50cc moped, it just makes no rational sense

It's all about the talk man. Be all d00d my moped is badass i put this turbocooler on it so now its almost as fast as my grand-ma's electric wheelchair. D00D THATS AWESOME! wanna hear it? FUCK YEAH! Nah see you have to embelish it. "A biker gang armed with knives and chainsaws brutally attacked my grand ma so i hopped on my road warrior road after them straight of the side of a cliff. I climbed back up the cliff and killed every last one of them with 3 worms and a straw."
