steam compatability with a laptop...

ok so i have an hp mini 1000 netbook and im wanting to put some of my steam games on it. ive been testing with gmod but can quite work it out ive seen threads about people playing steam games on their minis. im hoping their is someone here who can help me work this out :(.

my specs are:
system-
win xp home edition v. 2002 service pack 3

manufactured and supported by-
HP
intel Atom
cpu n270
1.60 ghz 798mhz
0.99 gb of ram

That will barely run. I would highly not recommending use it for gaming. These pcs are made for office apps only.

well ive read a couple of threads on gettng it to run steam games and such and some mmorpgs like war craft 3 and some wow

isnt warcraft mass environment?
if so theyre talkign out their ass mass environment games eat graphic kill for breakfast lol because it renders everything at once and its all continually moving meanign it needs a lot of pwoer to run

yea thats like the very low recruitements:
i recomend if you want something to run smoothely get some gaming gear man.
here are mine: (if you need an example)
- Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU
- 4,00 gb RAM
- Processor runnin on @ 2.10GHz
- Nvidia GT X9000
- using a laptop, and i bought it around 2 years ago, but i gotta get some better shit now!
- but not a bad recomendation.. i do not lag at all..

I would NEVER recommend getting a small netbook if your planning on using it for games. Bad idea.

Don't do it.
1) Steam will waste your hard drive space
2) Specs are even CLOSE to minimum requirements for a small game like gmod
3) It's not made for gaming...

Because I have an HP Mini also and only have a 16GB Solid State drive and it's already 50% filled up from just windows alone.

forgot about those things you like the hdd speed?

and lol shadow youre about right for newer games but that isnt really the limiting factor with the gaming scenario hes trying to play out
