Mominator Admin Abuse

I was kicked for broadcasting radio messages.

The previous round some of us spammed a few radio messages in good fun, no harm done, as we stopped upon request. The next round as we're charging over the hills I radio in "Affirmative" then "Enemy Down" once I take out the enemy with my AWP then "Affirmative" again and I get kicked by Mominator.

She's cool and I like playing with her but sometimes she takes this game a little too seriously. This is not the only occurrence, otherwise I wouldn't bother writing this report.

I've been an admin for 2 years on another server, then ran my own server for a few months, and from my experience a kick for a few radio spams is way WAY overkill. There have been spammers in NotD that get away with a lot worse. I'm not saying that justified radio spam, but this particular admin should be a little more lax in using her powers. This kick was completely uncalled for.

I realize it's only a kick, but it could be a warning alarm for further discrepancies.

Hmm i would have to say she was in her right because as you said you were told to stop. since you did it after being told to stop you broke the rule. So shes well in her right. and if you were annoying the most of the server then shes even more in her right. and like you said it was just a kick so all you had to do was rejoin. it was just a extra warning that when told to stop you do so..

Well, She probably thought you were spamming the messages. It does get annoying hearing it over and over again. Also like you said they requested you to stop and you did it again the next round so that was disobeying an admin (if it was her that requested it).

Not to take sides or anything but I think that was uncalled for. He was pretty diplomatic in his post, he could have been a dick about it but he wasn't.

It's not sending the right message and the aggression could be off-putting for those new to the server.

I completely agree with what mom did, I was there and he was radio spaming like crazy, it annoyed the shit out of me and a few other people. Mominator asked everyone to stop radio spamming but it continued for a round or two more, if I was the admin I would have banned him for a week for disobeying, disrespecting, and promoting rulebreaking (getting other people to spam radio).

If I was a newcomer to the forums/server then I'd be put-off by this thread.

Look at it from an unbiased view, I wasn't there so I don't know what happened. The guy considered to be in the wrong has posted why he feels there is a problem and has been fairly polite about it and the reply is aggressive.

No big deal, just an observation.

Well no doubt he came in in peaceful but the fact is that radio commands are really not used anymore and the fact was some other people were abusing it the round before he got kicked as chaotic stated. If everyone was telling them to stop then mominator had the right to kick or even ban the person but she used the less aggressive way to do it. Walter came in yelling admin abuse so what do you expect when she was doing her job?

I think tact and diplomacy would go down better in situations like these and, if anything, would set a good precedent.

Yes I may have been a tad hotheaded but.......
He was the one not listening to the admin and proceeded
to keep radio spamming, then choose to report me for admin
abuse. I went back into the server after making my statement
above and he proceeded again to hit the radio commands.
So what this has taught me is I wont show any tolerance,
instead I will just ban and not kick........ignoring admins!

I wasn't spamming the next round. Perhaps you need to look up the definition of "spam". You kicked me for 3 radio messages.

Are you serious!? I hardly said a word until we got to invisibleman, in which case my radio messages were to warn my teammates of acknowledgment or where the enemy was. My mic is broken now, so my means of communication are my CS:S radio.

bullshit...I was listening in and you were mic spamming before invisibleman, and during invisibleman your radio messages weren't to warn your teammates. they were a shitload of random radio messages.
