ping limit

we really need a freaking ping limit on the servers. i know people come from different countires and stuff but i've seen people from australia have 200 latency and thats about as far away from texas as you can get. i suggest a 300 latency cap for people. i'm playing right now and theres 1 guy with like consistent 900 latency. either he lives on mars or hes downloading shit and shouldnt be playing.

i agree there are atleast a total of 10 people each day that come on any one of the servers and have ridiculous ping. And im not sure if this is right or not but i was told that everyone in the server plays at the rate of the person with the highest ping, meaning that someone with 50 ping will play at the rate of some one with 500 ping if they are in the server

Idk about this since on my comp i have constant lags spikes often and im in california so i dont think i would want a ping kicker on the servers for sure

i Dissagree with this, it totally says to player who is from like Asain or Middel east that they cant be here, which can be realated to racism.
Ive seen players from Denmark - sweden or Norway who have ping on like 200-250, and mines on 105, [ Im from Denmark]

i can agree if it is on like 600 cuz thats just ur own problem with that hight latency due downloaded, etc.

in cali you should be getting around 50 latency, if not then you have internet problems. you shouldn't make that everyone in the servers problem. any time someone in the server has really high latency, the WHOLE server starts lagging. also mbk, exactly like you said you get 100 latency in denmark, absolutely fine, and like i said people in australia get 200 latency, and that would be 100 under my proposed limit. NOBODY should have over 300 latency unless they are downloading something or have a horrible internet connection, in which case, like i said don't make it our problem. i've seen people from asia get about 220 latency, so there really should be no excuse.

Well not all of us have the moeny to pay for the best internet and so screw u bro and im in mg alot so dont tell me thats its my problem and not the server i have been playing in the servers for awhile so dont tell me that i have to keep getting kicked from the servers plz.......

also my ping is normal around 100 but with the server lag spikes happen often so my ping some times jumps from 100 to 350 so i need to get kicked everytime that happens no i dont think so

I WOULD COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH THIS AND MOST LIKELY LEAVE IF A PING CAP OF 300 WAS PUT ON THE SERVERS!!!!!!

im one of those "REGULARS" you see in the servers with a high ping most likely.....you want to know why my ping is so high?

i dont download shyt when im playing css, i have a virgin mobile broadband card that cuts down to 2 g connection after 2.5 gigs has been downloaded, even with the 3 g its not the fastest.  i cant just go out and get DSL connection because i live in a freakin hotel......>.>.starting to get the picture?

im sorry our lag pisses you off but it's not like it makes us happy either but i put up with it so i can remain on the servers around the people i enjoy in a game i love....everytime i get kicked from a server that is being strict on ping i get pissed off cause its usually caused by a lag spike and then i dont bother ever returning cause im just going to get kicked every 5 mins........

sorry to sound rude or mean but i dont enjoy hearing people talk about others with a high ping like we're some kind of disease or something, usually the people with the horrible connections are either 1 dumb and downloading something or 2 DONT HAVE THE MONEY TO AFFORD BETTER INTERNET they are making due with what they have or can afford at the moment....either way thats my opinion on it and i vote against it fully

I disagree with a ping limit, it's just not fair to our regulars who have high ping. It's not their fault they're so far away from the server or have shitty internet.

At first I agreed with Osage, I'm in Australia and my ping is usually around 220-260, but if the whole server is lagging then it stays around 300-400, which would get me kicked , so I guess I have to side with Kotton

no regulars would be kicked if there was a 300 ping limit, unless of course they are downloading something, like i stated previously. earlier today i was playing on classic zombie hell and 1 player had a consistent 900 latency and he was lagging up the place like nobodies business. also, as unstable as that server is in general, people with extremely high latencies make in tenfold worse. also like i stated previously, i've seen people from australia hover right around 200, so there is no excuse for higher than 300 latency unless of course you're using like pre-historic, dial up internet and are playing on top of mount everest.

edit: you should not be downloading things while playing css. all it does is fuck up everyone elses day while making things slightly more convenient for you

also kotton, i used to play on some crappy ass verizon internet card, and i got around 150 latency.
