Soup Nazi

I've been playing a server for quite a while now and had no issue whatsoever with the name "SOUP NAZI".
Until recently I've been called out on it, after playing quite a while with it. I don't see anything wrong with it at all, it was a joke from a very famous television show called "Seinfeld". In this case, I formally request an exception to whatever purported rule there is and be permitted to play under the pseudonym, SOUP NAZI.

You go back and forth between "Soup Nazi" and "T0tiwolf", so I see no reason not to use Toti.

I keep asking you in the server to change your name to not include the word Nazi as I know a lot of players are offended by it.  It is not a very kind word to many people...

i dont have a problem with the name. the name "soup nazi" in particular has been discussed and accepted. we also accept grammar nazi and forum nazi. we have seen all these names b4. the word nazi its self is not antisemitic its just a word and in this case its a character  from a tv show.

The word Nazi is a cornerstone for anti-semitism. It being just a word is not an excuse, you could apply that logic to almost any racial slur as they often can be used out of context too.

If nazi is a racist term, then by the exact same reasoning so is the word racist. So everytime you say the word 'racist' you should get banned.

I wasn't implying the word Nazi is a racial slur itself, I was making the point that just because a word has a more common slang meaning to it doesn't make it less offensive (Like many racial slurs do today).

I don't have a problem with Toti, nor do I find his name offensive. The problem is I've seen people get kicked/banned/forced to apologize for breaking the "No racism, antisemitism or ethnic slurs under any circumstances" rule, I can't see why this case is any different.

Maybe its just me but nazi is a slur it reminds of a time in our worlds history where horrible acts were  commited no one can argue that they were the "good guys i think,   and i cant speak for her, all thoo i was there when she (Jouhou) asked him to change it. It was the fact that more than one person  wanted it change and since there was a person living in germany..even  he/she didnt even apperciate it. ( yes yes not knowing the seinfield bit. is a big reason. and yes i will admit that is funny) I dont see the error she made in by asking him to change it.. as well as if your asked to change ur name  by a admin.. why not just do it...
