Tell your parents he was undermining your intelligence. Realistically if they're any bit sane they'll understand what happened.
My principal threatened me with suspension after Christmas last year and my mum nearly rang to give out to him because I did nothing :L

sometimes in life you have to put up with what your superiors say, whether you like it or not. Your far less likely to get ahead in this world if you have a hot head, especially when it comes to authority

Funny story Dank, but the assistant principal shouldn't have said that. He has no right to call you stupid for changing into a lower class. I mean, I personally don't want to get into honors (besides math and science). One, I'm not smart enough or whatever, and two its better to see an A in regular than a B or C in honors.

he may have no right but you also have no right to speak to him the way you did, you acted worse than he did. He is also the adult, so therfor you are being punished.
two wrongs dont make a right and him "trying to call you stupid" does not excuse your response to him.

I understand, but the assistant principal is the adult, therefore should act like a model. However, you have a point gotshot. And also you (not just specifically talking to Dank) could have just left and told the principal or your parents. But that's a different story.

The Asst. Principal calls you stupid for dropping honors level to go to regular level classes?
How dare he! By the way it is stupid.  Honor level classes will better prepare you for the hard work of future education (college perhaps?), the job training required with any career you choose in the future and just the day to day continued learning in life.
How dare this Asst. Principal sit behind a desk and do minimal work. After working through school as a student (at least through undergraduate/ Bachelors in Education, if not a masters degree), then becoming a teacher in a classroom for several years and now to sit there behind a desk and make descent money to do that 'easy' job? A job of dealing with personnel issues, student issues, attending meetings after hours taking away from family and private life, physical facility issues, more student issues, organizing and getting authorized the use of the building for after hours events, ensuring the the safety of 'all' students through the continued review and update of response plans, bla bla bla....
But then all jobs look easy from the outside...... mine does.
But I agree with you on one point, once you've earned the position of Asst. Principal, you can do it for half his salary. I'm sure the school board would be more than happy to pay a qualified candidate (you?) half what the job's budgeted salary is.

Good luck, I wouldn't want to be teacher for anything.... ::)
